The town of Beaugency
Beaugency is located on the Loire Châteaux trail and boasts a rich historic heritage. One of the town’s most emblematic sites is the bridge which spans the Loire river and offers a spectacular view of the town and surrounding areas.
The town is also known for its Château dating from the 15th century, built for king Louis XI and used as a prison during the French Revolution. Today it is open to the public and is a venue for the arts and live events.
Cycling along the river
The “Loire à Vélo” is a bike trail that runs alongside the Loire, France’s longest river of over 800 kilometres. It is considered to be one of the finest bike trails in France with magnificent landscapes, historic sites, châteaux, towns and picturesque villages all along the way.
The Beaugency Labyrinth
The Beaugency Labyrinth is a large vegetal labyrinth running through a field of maize. Original and great fun for all the family.
The site is open from July to September and offers other activities such as paper chases, a high ropes course and miniature golf.
It is also well known for special events like night-time adventures when the labyrinth is lit up and open until midnight, providing a unique and mysterious experience.
